Many therapists, some of them unscrupulous, lure desperate sufferers by promising that anxiety can "evaporate", "float away" or "disappear". It seldom does, especially using their flawed and expensive gimmicks. The chances are you already know this. Most of the therapists that use such language are either charging a high hourly rate for weekly sessions which in the long term achieve little, or are selling an equally expensive "programme" or "system"...

2. An important day in my recovery from AnxietyThe biggest single event in my recovery from anxiety did not come from some kind of expensive cure for which I was paying £50 an hour. The turning point came when I was browsing through google, I came across a series of books and cassettes by a woman called Dr Claire Weekes who died years ago. As it happened I didn't buy these books. My local library had a copy of one and I found another in a local second hand book shop...
