EMDR Therapy Books
EMDR is not designed as a self help therapy. It is important to speak to a therapist that has been trained to sufficiently high standards in the technique, and has used it to treat anxiety, panic and phobias before. It is more complicated than just vaguely waving your hands around in front of your eyes! That said it is a good idea to read up on the therapy before you embark to decide whether or not it's for you. Francine Shapiro, the inventor of EMDR, wrote a great book on the basics of EMDR called EMDR: The Breakthrough Therapy for Overcoming Anxiety, Stress and Trauma

The same author, Francine Shapiro, also wrote a more in depth book entitled Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing: Basic Principles, Protocols, and Procedures
