Hello Anxiety 2 Calm readers,

My name is Paul Carter and I am a volunteer press officer for the UK charity OCD Action.

I want everybody to know about the OCD Conference on Saturday 22 November at Imperial College London from 8.30am-5.30pm. Professors, mental health experts and people who suffer from obsessive compulsive disorders will join forces in a series of presentations and workshops to raise awareness and increase understanding of OCD spectrum disorders.

This is a Day of Action with knowledge as our weapon, and will focus on the diagnosis and treatment of a whole range of obsessive compulsive disorders. If hoarding is your problem then there is an afternoon workshop on how to combat compulsive hoarding with leading specialist Satwant Singh.

The session aims to provide information and understanding about hoarding and its treatment. Participants in the workshops will contribute to the development of coping mechanisms in relation to their hoarding.

It's believed that there are 1.8 million people with OCD in the UK, so you are not alone with your tormenting thoughts and compulsive rituals.

The details for OCD Conference 2008:
Date: Saturday, 22 November 2008
Time: 9:30am – 5.30pm
Place: Imperial College London, South Kensington Campus, London SW7 2AZ
Fees: £20 / £30 for members or supporting charities and £75 for professionals
Phone OCD Action to book your ticket on 0870 360 6232.

Spread the word, as knowledge is power in the fight against OCD.

I hope to see you there.

Paul
